For 26 years, I worked in the financial services industry, before retiring at age 50. Sitting across a table or desk from clients for much of that time, I learned that average people need financial education. Considering Money was born out of the need for providing financial education for regular people. It will provide insights into the wisdom of good money management and common sense investing.
Considering Money is an offshoot of three businesses that I own; The Great Writer , Advisors Friend and Solution Content. The Great Writer and Solution Content provide copywriting and content development to companies worldwide. Advisors Friend provides writing services to the advisor segment.
Considering Money will take an unbiased approach to providing investment and savings knowledge. We don’t make fees or commissions from our readers’ decisions, so we can educate without any ulterior motives. Our site income will eventually be derived from advertising by investment advisors and others financial professionals.
It’s my hope that the ideas and information on this web site will provide some useful guidance to your own finances. When economic problems and dismal newscasts cause you concern about your personal money management, I foresee Considering Money as a guiding light to a perplexing subject.
All the Best,
K Richard Douglas
Considering Money pays honor to the memory of Mike Kavanagh, a person who taught more people about managing their money wisely than nearly anybody else. Mike was the epitome of honesty, integrity and class. Mike’s show Money Matters, on WSB in Atlanta, provided sound money management education to thousands.
Mike was also a principal in an advisory firm. The guy who always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face will be missed by many. Especially his old friends like yours truly. He died on his 57th birthday, Dec. 6, 2008.
After a life of helping others, he left us far too young.
